Cork Hellhounds RFC is an LGBT-inclusive rugby club based in Cork, Ireland. We were established in October 2020 with two aims; to promote rugby among the LGBT community and their allies in the Cork area, and to showcase inclusion in action within the Cork, Munster, and Irish rugby communities.

We currently offer a men’s contact (union) rugby team and a mixed-gender tag rugby team (during tag season, typically April to October). Training is held twice weekly in Cork city, where complete beginners and experienced players are welcome to take part, regardless of sexuality or gender identity.

Cork Hellhounds RFC is ratified by Munster Rugby, and is also a member of International Gay Rugby.

Rugby Union (Contact/Full Rugby)

Please note that our contact (union) rugby season is now over. Our pre-season training will take place in July – come back soon for more details or email

Tag Rugby

We offer tag rugby for all players (male, female, and non-binary), and we take part in weekly games organised by Cork Tag Rugby.

Our tag rugby training takes place Tuesday evenings 7:30-9pm at Tramore Valley Park‘s rugby pitch.

We recommend bringing a water bottle to training, and rugby boots if you have them. To cover the pitch rental and club costs, we ask non-members for a voluntary donation of €5 for each session (payable by cash or via Revolut) however first-time visitors are welcome free of charge.

To start training with the Cork Hellhounds, or if you have any questions, email or send a message via Facebook or Instagram.
